Join us for Tea with a Teller featuring Internationally renown Irish storyteller Liz Weir for an intimate afternoon of conversation about the art and impact of storytelling.
Liz Weir is an internationally acclaimed storyteller and writer from Northern Ireland whose work has carried stories across five continents. A former Children’s Librarian for the City of Belfast, Liz is known for her warmth, humor, and deep belief in the power of story to build connection, preserve culture, and foster understanding. She has performed everywhere from village pubs and schools to major international storytelling festivals, including the National Storytelling Festival in Tennessee. The recipient of the International Story Bridge Award and an MBE for services to the arts and education, Liz continues to inspire audiences of all ages through stories rooted in humanity, heritage, and heart.
This special evening will be held on the terrace of the historic Eureka Inn in downtown Jonesborough, creating a relaxed and intimate atmosphere for story and conversation. Hosted in partnership with the Storytelling Resource Place, the event reflects a growing spirit of collaboration between storytelling and local community spaces in Tennessee’s storytelling capital.
